Nestled in the
heart of Chelsea, 159 West 24th Street
was
originally built as a stable in 1901. As the horse and
carriage vanished from Manhattan's streetscape, the building
became home to the City's first automobiles. Throughout the
decades it would remain relatively unchanged.
A
century later, designer Gustavo Martinez and architect
Michael Schmitt were commissioned to transform the distinctive
space into 24 unique residences. Aptly named Carriage
House,
their work honors the building's architectural history and
seamlessly melds into the fabric of Chelsea loft living. Get
the details. Chelsea
is one of New York City’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
Carriage
House is excited to get to know our
neighbors and share
their wonderful stories. |
